17-7 PH material is no easy task when machining stainless steel. Its high strength and hardness make it difficult to machine. This week, HY Metals team took on the challenge of machining complex sheets made of this material – producing shapes that are far more complex than they appear at first glance.

    While some of the holes on these boards are simple circles, others are far from ordinary. For example, the four oval holes in the middle of the board are trapezoidal. To complicate matters further, the surfaces around these holes are curved, which further complicates the machining process. Therefore, obtaining the desired shape and surface finish requires great skill and precision wire cutting capabilities.
